    Maven App – Terms of Use

    Last updated: 18 August 2026

    These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Maven App application (“the Application”).

    The Application is operated by Maven Solutions and is intended primarily for authorised Maven Solutions personnel in connection with the delivery of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts preparation and related professional services.

    By accessing or using the Application, you agree to these Terms.

    1. About the Application

    Maven App is an internal accounting review and workflow application designed to assist Maven Solutions personnel with reviewing financial information and supporting the preparation of client accounts.

    The Application may connect to third-party accounting platforms, including QuickBooks Online and, where supported, other accounting software, in order to retrieve authorised accounting information.

    The Application may assist with activities such as reviewing account balances, identifying discrepancies, analysing transactions, preparing internal queries and proposing accounting adjustments for review.

    The Application does not replace professional judgement, statutory review requirements or human approval.

    2. Authorised use

    Access to the Application is restricted to authorised users.

    You must:

    • use the Application only for legitimate business purposes;
    • access only client or business information that you are authorised to view;
    • keep your login credentials secure;
    • not share access credentials with unauthorised persons;
    • not attempt to bypass security controls or access restricted areas;
    • comply with Maven Solutions' internal information-security and data-protection procedures.

    3. Accounting platform connections

    Where the Application connects to a third-party accounting service such as QuickBooks Online, access is only established following appropriate authorisation.

    The Application may retrieve accounting information including, where relevant:

    • profit and loss information;
    • balance sheet information;
    • chart of accounts;
    • transactions;
    • invoices;
    • bills;
    • journals;
    • customers and suppliers;
    • tax-related balances;
    • other accounting records made available through the authorised integration.

    The exact information accessed depends on the permissions granted and the functionality being used.

    4. Read-only accounting access

    Unless expressly introduced as an approved future feature, Maven Accounts Agent is designed to operate on a read-only basis in relation to connected accounting platforms.

    The Application may identify or propose accounting adjustments, but proposed journals or other accounting changes must not be treated as posted, final or approved merely because they are generated by the Application.

    Human review and approval remain required.

    5. No autonomous professional sign-off

    The Application is intended to support qualified staff and improve consistency and efficiency.

    It does not independently sign off accounts, tax returns, statutory filings or professional advice.

    Any output generated by the Application must be reviewed by an appropriately authorised person before it is relied upon for professional, accounting, tax or filing purposes.

    6. Accuracy and availability

    We aim to keep the Application accurate, secure and available, but we do not guarantee that:

    • the Application will always be available without interruption;
    • third-party data will always be complete or accurate;
    • automated analysis will identify every accounting issue;
    • every suggested query or adjustment will be appropriate in every circumstance.

    Users remain responsible for reviewing source records, supporting evidence and professional conclusions.

    7. Third-party services

    The Application may rely on third-party services, including accounting software providers, hosting providers and technology suppliers.

    Those third parties operate under their own terms, privacy notices and availability commitments.

    Maven Solutions is not responsible for outages, errors or restrictions caused solely by third-party systems outside its reasonable control.

    8. Intellectual property

    The Application, its software, workflows, review logic, documentation, branding and other associated materials are owned by or licensed to Maven Solutions.

    No rights are granted to copy, distribute, reverse engineer, reproduce or commercially exploit the Application except as expressly authorised in writing.

    9. Confidentiality

    Information accessed through the Application may include confidential financial and business information.

    Users must treat all client and business data as confidential and must not disclose it except where authorised or legally required.

    10. Data protection

    Personal data and accounting data processed through the Application are handled in accordance with the Maven App Privacy Policy.

    The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information processed, why that information is used, how it is protected and the circumstances in which third-party service providers may process information on our behalf.

    11. Suspension or termination of access

    Maven Solutions may suspend or terminate access to the Application where necessary for security, compliance, operational or employment-related reasons.

    Access may also be revoked where a user no longer requires the Application for an authorised business purpose.

    12. Changes to the Application or these Terms

    We may update the Application or these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in functionality, law, regulation, security requirements or third-party integrations.

    The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.

    13. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

    Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Application will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
